요약 | This study explored the relationship between parental perceptions of school leadership parent engagement and the effect of this engagement on parents' home literacy involvement and children's literacy interests. One notable characteristic of this study was its focus on children ranging from preschool to eighth grade whose parents were primarily middle- and upper middle-class African American parents who engaged in religious activities. This research was guided by two domains of Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems, the microsystem and the mesosystem, which are directly related to the socio-ecological constructs of this study. The study featured a cross-sectional, predictive design. The researcher collected data using a survey based on the Parent Survey of Family and Community Involvement in the Elementary and Middle Grades (Sheldon & Epstein, 2007). |
