| 요약 | My dissertation is a study of competitive hot dog eating in three different contexts in the United States. I have isolated three such occurrences of this eating event with which I can demonstrate how different contexts of hot dog eating can reify different group identities. Competitive eating follows its own conventions nationwide, formulaic variants appear in certain folk cultural contexts |
