| 요약 | In this thesis, we investigate pseudo-Anosov self-homeomorphisms of the punctured disk (i.e. braids) with large topological entropy. Here "large" must be quantified with respect to some generating set of the braid group: braids that require few generators to write are viewed favorably.We begin with an overview of existing results |
