요약 | Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a diagnosis of behavioral symptomatology. The prevalence of this disorder suggests that most psychologists and school psychologists-who are responsible for supporting large numbers of students-will encounter a referral for this disorder. Accurate and timely diagnoses are essential for provision of treatment. Evidence-based practices in ASD assessment and trainings to implement these practices, however, are resource and time-intensive. This poses potential barriers to implementation of evidence-based practice. Despite these impediments, it is necessary that students in school psychology training programs develop skills in ASD assessment. The following study utilizes the CIPP (context, input, process product) evaluation model to critically evaluate the establishment of an ASD assessment training within a doctoral school psychology training clinic. At training's conclusion, 50% of students were reliable with a supervisor on their diagnostic interpretation of assessment results and assessment scoring reliability averaged 78.1% overall. Robust knowledge and skill growth were reported |
